One of the strongest tools a board can have for fulfilling their responsibility to their community is clear and concise policy documentation.This provides the framework in which they work and guides them in their decision making processes.

I have developed a handbook that can be tailored by the individual boards to reflect their individual circumstances and vision. This has been enthusiastically adopted by schools with whom I have been working.

My School Board Policy Handbook is covered under the Creative Commons Licence by-nc 3.0 - refer to the link below for details of this licence. This gives me the moral ownership of the School Board Policy Handbook yet allows you to modify it for the use of your board as long as the intiial work remains attributed to me.

 Excting development

In conjunction with the handbook I have developed a Three Year Programme for Boards, taking them through the election to succesion stages of the school board cycle. This provides a year by year, term by term framework for boards to provide strong and structured leadership to their school.

Open Late night at Kirkaldie's every Tuesday this month.  I was on the door with Rotary collecting money as people paid [donated!] to shop. All proceeds are given to Wellington Free Ambulance.  Nice synergy for a business, a non-profit and shoppers to enjoy.
